Homecoming Family Day celebrates NYP's 30th anniversary
|
|
2022 marked the year NYP turned 30! As part of the celebrations, a Homecoming Family Day was held on 17 Dec at the NYP campus. More than 870 alumni and their family members joined in the event where there were carnival games, laser tag games, balloon sculpturing, magic shows and bouncy castles for the little ones! Many also visited the Schools and participated in workshops such as stamp design-your-own pouch, create-your-own washing powder, pressed flower bookmark and card making, mocktail making demo, ice cream making demo, bandaging demo, dental scaling and polishing demo, etc. There were also talks on courses for upskilling and tours to view some of the Schools’ facilities. Not forgetting the opportunity to catch up with former classmates and lecturers, our alumni had a wonderful time back at NYP! Join us at future alumni events and reconnect old ties!

Hanping Diploma in Multimedia & Infocomm Technology School of Engineering, Class of 2018
Hanping, the President of the 24th Nanyang Polytechnic Students’ Union, recounted that his times in NYP were eye-opening yet fun. He regarded NYP as a polytechnic that constantly strives to provide students with opportunities for holistic development. While pursuing his Diploma at NYP, Hanping also attended many programmes such as Fireside chat and Leaders' Summit. One of the fondest memories he had were the days when he had committee meetings that ended late at night. The team would grab mookata, Eighteen Chefs, or McDonald's for late supper. Says Hanping, "Time flies and I'll never be 20 again staying up late into the night, planning for events and spending time with friends, so... carpe diem, seize the day!" Yi Fei Diploma in Business & Financial Technology School of Information Technology, Class of 2022
Yi Fei has always taken an interest in exploring both IT and business fields, thus she decided to pursue the Diploma in Business & Financial Technology course at Nanyang Polytechnic. Besides the memorable moments at NYP, Yi Fei also enjoyed her internship at Procter & Gamble (P&G). At P&G, she was given the opportunity to intern under the Research and Development team where her job scope consisted of analytical work, coding, and even brainstorming for innovative solutions to improve various products. This feature is by Toh Ying Wei, Year 3 student, The Communicators (NYP CCA club).

The Precision Engineering Master Craftsman (PeMC) programme helps employees stay relevant by deepening their skills and knowledge. Enroll and get your employees certified as Master Craftsmen.
